Bearing gifts

I cut the lower edge of the bauble paper by Jennifer Ellory using a Tattered Lace pearl border die and matted it onto a square of paper from We R Memory Keepers. I then attached a strip of narrow ribbon at the lower edge and matted the whole onto white card.
The digi image is from Art By Barb and is called Bearing gifts. After colouring it using Promarkers and a silver gel pen I cut it out using a Tattered Lace pearl rectangle die. The red and gold crackers which I arranged at the base of the image were cut from another Tattered Lace die.

The theme for the new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is anything but a card.
Using the computer I arranged designer papers from the My Craft Studio CD ROMs Winter Wonderland and Winter Celebrations to fit in with the size of a Tonic Studios cracker die. After making up the crackers I decorated them with a poinsettia cut using dies from Tattered Lace.

I used their image called Winnie walkies and placed it in a frame before printing it out and colouring it using Promarkers.
I added a strip of paw print paper to the bottom of textured checked paper and wrapped ribbon around the edge of the printed paper. I then matted the combination onto white card and outlined the edges with gold edged mauve peel off strips. After attaching the image to the card I added a bow and a sentiment. Finally I added a small pearl to the centre of the hair fastener and two large pearls to the sentiment strip.

Sing a new song

This week the QKR Stampede challenge has the theme of angels. As a change I decided to make a circle stepper card using dies from Tattered Lace.
I matted music design paper from Kaisercraft onto pink card and attached satin edged yellow organza ribbon over pink satin ribbon to this before matting onto the stepper card.
I coloured the image carolling (number 7304) using Promarkers. After cutting it out using a Tattered Lace oval die I ran a Promarker pen around the edge before matting it onto pink oval card. I then attached it to the stepper using foam pads and added a yellow organza bow.
I also matted the sentiment 'A new song' (number 16311) onto the design paper and pink card before fixing it to the stepper card.

Birthday wishes

As a change from square or rectangular cards I have tried my hand at making an oval card by placing an oval die over the folded edge.
The image called Honey Anime 2 from Scrapper's Delight was coloured using Promarkers. Using oval dies I cut it out and matted and layered it onto two sheets of design paper from THe English Paper Company's Siesta Collection, dark blue core'dinations cardstock and white card. I then found that the card would not stay upright (I should have realised that!) so I attached a rectangular strip to the base of the card front and used this for my peel off wishes. Finally I added two card candi to this strip.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

I have used the digi called Fairy Flowers from All Dressed Up, colouring it using Promarkers and then matting it onto core'dinations cardstock. The designer paper, sentiment and the border round it were all printed using Docraft CD ROMS and again were matted onto core'dinations cardstock. Thank you

The theme for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede is give thanks.
I matted red paper onto white card and on top of this a attached white pearlescent card which I had cut using the Tattered Lace die autumnal country house. I coloured the roses on it pink using Promarkers and cut two more of the larger roses, again colouring them,
I positioned the digi thank you (number 17407) inside the digi image rose label (number 21005) before printing them out. I coloured the image using Promarkers, fussy cut it and attached it to the card using glue gel. I then attached the two coloured roses which I had prepared earlier.

Golden wedding

The Creative Corner challenge this week has the theme anything goes.
I was asked at short notice to make a card for a golden wedding and this is what I came up with. The person was obviously pleased with it because they asked me to make a second one for another golden wedding!
I matted cream pearlescent card onto white card and outlined it using gold peel off strips. Using more of the pearlescent card I cut a heart using a Tattered Lace die and matted it onto gold mirri card which I had cut using a Tattered Lace pearl pin dot heart die. The sentiment inside the heart was created using gold peel off words and the names were made from gold peel off letters.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Mistletoe kitty

My step daughter and her family have a black cat so I thought this would make a suitable Christmas card for them. The digi image called Mistletoe kitty is from Imagine That and I coloured it using Promarkers, adding Liquid Pearls to the mistletoe berries and kitty's nose and frosting to the hat trim. The sentiment was also from Imagine That. After matting and layering it onto design paper from Kaisercraft and white card I added  several pieces of white card cut using a Christmas florals holly die from Tattered Lace down the left hand side of the card.

Winter wishes

There is a new challenge beginning today at Crafty Cardmakers. The theme is to use dry or heat embossing.
I took a sheet from Hunkydory's Little Book of Festive Birdsong and attached it centrally to a 5x7 silver card. I then cut a piece of white pearlescent card slightly smaller than this and embossed it using Sheena Douglas' festive embossing folder. Before attaching it to the card I cut around the inner embossed lines to create an aperture.
I used a Tattered Lace die to cut 'winter wishes' from both black card and pale blue pearlescent card and attached them to the card with the black sentiment underneath and slightly to the side of the pearlescent one to create a shadow effect.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

I then threaded organza ribbon through alternate holes round the edge. The design was then matted and layered onto paper showing autumn leaves printed using My Craft Studio's CD ROM Little Miracles, dark green core'dinations cardstock, yellow (although it looks orange in the photo) embossed cardstock and finally white card.

Good luck

The theme for this week's challenge at Creative Corner is encouragement.
I printed a sunflower design onto pearlescent paper and matted it onto gold mirri card after which I tied a satin ribbon round the lower edge before matting it onto white card. The main image is made up from a decoupage sheet from David Wolversons's flower set from Joanna Sheen. I then added a double bow made using the satin ribbon and also yellow organza ribbon.
(Alas because of all the shine the photograph does not do justice to the card.)
