Violinist

The theme for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede is inspired by music along with the usual anything goes.
Having taught at a music school where the most popular instrument played was the violin (and one of my grand daughters is also learning to play the instrument) I just had to use this image of the turtle violinist (number 24137) which I coloured using Promarkers and then matted onto black card. The background paper has been in my stash box for sometime having printed several sheets to use on an earlier project and was matted and layered onto core'dinations couture cardstock and white card. The happy birthday greeting was free in an old magazine and I attached two card candi to it.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

I cut an oval from white card using a Tattered Lace mini ruffle die and attached it to the centre of the card. I die cut three of the Just Because image, decoupaged them and attached it to the oval. I then tucked a mini postcard in behind the flowers and added a bow.

The fairy image from Lemon Shortbread is called sitting fairy floral. I coloured the wings and dress using Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens, the remainder being coloured using Spectrum Noir alcohol  pens. I cut the butterfly flourish from some of the plain paper using a Joanna Sheen die and then recut the butterflies from glitter card keeping in all the die cut pieces.

Fishes

Today sees the start of a fresh challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids. This time the theme is anything goes and it is being sponsored by
So Suzy Stamps who are offering a $15 gift certificate
and
Dies R Us who are offering a $15 gift certificate.

I began by matting pale blue pearlescent paper onto blue and then white card. I used yellow crepe paper at the base of the card to represent sand. The digi images from So Suzy Stamps were printed in varying sizes, coloured using Spectrum Noir pens and fussy cut. I then arranged them on the card. I cut three shells using a Tattered Lace die, scored them and coloured them  and shaping them slightly before adding them to the card. The sentiment was cut out using a Tattered Lace Charisma frames 2 die and off set onto black card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Netball

A friend asked me to make a card for her grand daughter who plays netball. I have some CD ROMs which contain thousands of clip art images so I superimposed the players over an image of a netball and then using word art added the greeting. After cutting it out using a die I matted it onto gold mirri card and coloured the girls using Promarkers.
Using a circular die I created an easel card and attached the above to it. I printed another clip art image and cut it out using a circular die and attached it to the base of the card. I then outlined it using gold peel off strips. I used two smaller versions of this image either side of the words '15 today' matted onto gold mirri card to create the stop for the easel.
